The final week of term was as busy as ever and you will see from the photographs below that there was plenty to celebrate for Hall House.
The school's senior seven aside rugby team made it all the way to the Roslyn Park sevens semi finals which is a superb achievement. As with the West of England rugby sevens tournament, several Hall boys were once again involved in this: Jack, Oscar, Parimal, Owen. It's worth noting that we did beat the eventual champions during the group stages, which as the Headmaster pointed out in the final assembly, really means we won it!
The House Cross Country on Thursday afternoon was a great event in which the vast majority of the House was involved. In the year 9 and 10 race we were very proud to have second and third place from two of our year nine students: Tom and Rupert. This was an exceptional achievement considering they were a year younger than half the field running. Despite having two counters in the top three, Middle were too strong for us as a team and they were the winners. We were second with Upper in third. In the Senior race, the boys went one better and did win the competition. Harry from Middle was first but then we had runners come in at second (Jonathan), third (Tom), fourth (George), fifth (Oliver), ninth (Alec) and thirteenth (Hywel). A great effort not only from these boys but also everyone who ran.
Congratulations to Hywel who has once again been selected to represent Wales at hockey. He has been an integral part of the very successful school first team this season and was also awarded the Idris Cup in the final assembly. This cup is given in recognition of being the outstanding player of the season at Kingswood. Well done Hywel and best of luck training with the international team this Easter.
Also during the final assembly, Colts colours for hockey were awarded to Lucas, Calum and Jeremy with full colours going to Parimal and Hywel.
Finally, Hall and Fonthill enjoyed a fun packed House entertainment in the sports hall on the final night of the term. A quiz followed by a variety of games including Mr Harding's version of curling involving a pool ball and the centre circle in the sports hall (!) meant the Spring term culminated in a great evening.
Enjoy looking though the photographs below and have a great break.
