Valentine's Dinner
This evening our annual Valentine's Dinner took place and despite being nearly a week too early a great time was still had by all. Delicious food was created by the Catering Department and music was provided by Mr Chua, Johnny and Max. The boys became waiters for the evening and did an amazing job serving the couples. Most importantly we hope to have raised several hundred pounds for our chosen charity this year: HemiHelp.

Bowling and Bake off
Several of the boys went ten pin bowling this weekend. Thanks to Mr Chua for organising this. The boys also entered the boarding Bake off organised by Miss Wright.
End of January...beginning of February
It has been a really bust week for the boys in Hall over the last seven days. On Sunday evening the whole boarding community got together to celebrate Burn's Night. We enjoyed the traditional Scottish food of haggis, neeps and tatties and then all proceeded to the Sports Hall to do some traditional Scottish dances. The boys were also given the opportunity to have a go at providing the air for the bagpipes!! Enjoy looking at the photographs below; as you can see, a lot of fun was had.
On Wednesday and Thursday evening no less than TEN of the boys were involved in the GCSE production of, "The 39 Steps". The show was a huge success and plenty of laughs were had by the audience as they enjoyed this spoof of the John Buchan classic. Well done to all involved who not only acted but also provided the technical expertise in the form of the lighting and the sound. Photos to follow soon....

Happy New Year
It is great to see the boys all back safely in the house. After a good break over the Christmas period, it was straight back to lessons and activities with the 6th form sitting their mocks throughout this first week.
Lots of the boys were involved in hockey matches this weekend - well done to all of those taking part, and lots of the year 10s rehearsed on Sunday afternoon for the up and coming production of extracts from "The 39 Steps".
There was still an opportunity for some down time over the weekend and several of the lads played a bit of JENGA! As you can see from the photographs below the tension was, at times, palpable!
BEST WISHES FOR 2017 from all in Hall!

Christmas Celebrations
The end of the calendar year really finished on a high. The boys got together with the girls from Fonthill for our annual Christmas celebrations and we all went ice skating followed by all 200 of us then descending on Jimmy's World Grill. It was a great way to end the year and fun was had by all as can be seen from the photographs below.
Earlier in the day we presented Toby with the trophy for Hall House Rugby Player of the season as voted for by the boys. This was after he had already been awarded the school prize for Rugby Player of the season. It was also great to see Jah collect the award for Most Improved player and Tom get recognition for his superb play when he was awarded his school colours.
